Fundraising and Development: Fire Prevention Canada (FIRECAN) continues to be proactive in the development of new initiatives to educate Canadians and support the Fire Service across Canada in their fight against fire. The development of new programs, together with the maintenance of ongoing programs, requires substantial financial support. Your donations for this most important mission are appreciated.

Supporting Organizations - Fire Prevention Canada is supported by the following: Fire Prevention Canada would also like to thank:

Levitt-Safety Limited: Over the years, Levitt-Safety has supported Fire Prevention Canada’s cause by providing sponsorship for the Fire Prevention Week launch.

Candle Impressions ® : Careless use of candles continues to be one of the major causes of home fires in Canada. Candle Impressions ® has developed a low-power, battery-operated, flameless candle which replicates the warm glow and random flicker of traditional candles, while eliminating the hazards and risks caused by an open flame. The Flameless Candle won a Home Safety Council - Product Innovation - Consumer Safety Award winner for 2005. To learn more about the Flameless Candle and where it can be purchased, visit Candle Impressions ® website.

Cybersonics: Cybersonics owns and operates the Canadian Mall Radio Network. Fire Prevention Canada thanks Cybersonics for their commitment to the promotion of fire safety by broadcasting fire prevention messages over sound systems in malls across Canada.

Hibbert International: Fire Prevention Canada is pleased to acknowledge and thank Hibbert International for its substantial support. Mr. Dan Hibbert advised FIPRECAN that, in lieu of client gifts, Hibbert has made a donation to Fire Prevention Canada in the hopes of reducing the loss of life, especially among children, through public education of fire prevention.

Canadian Tire: Fire Prevention Canada would like to thank The Canadian Tire Child Fire Protection Foundation (CTCPF) for its sponsorship of the Learn Not to Burn program. This curriculum-based program was aimed at children in preschool, kindergarten, and grades one and two. Fire marshals visited classrooms across Canada to instruct children on what actions they needed to take in case of a fire, and the measures they needed to implement to help prevent fires in their homes. Each child was given a comprehensive binder that graphically detailed these life-saving measures, which they were encouraged to share with their parents.
