Fire Prevention Week 2009 was observed from Sunday, October 4th through to Saturday, October 10^th. The theme for this year is: "Stay Fire Smart! Don’t Get Burned^©". The kick-off for this year's event was held on Parliament Hill in the West Block on Thursday, 1 October 2009.
